Hotel and Shuttles
We have reserved a hotel room block for our out-of-town guests at the Greektown Casino Hotel in the historic Greektown entertainment district of downtown Detroit. We have negotiated the nightly room rate of $139 for a deluxe king room and $159 for a deluxe double room. Luxury suites are also available but have not been included in our negotiated room block. Members of our group will receive complimentary parking in the hotel’s garage, complimentary wireless internet service and a $10 bonus play credit in the casino for each paid overnight guest.
To reserve a room: Guests can make reservations by calling 1-877-424-5554 and asking for the Grego/Nank wedding room block. Guests can also book online by going to http://www.greektowncasino.com and selecting the “Play & Stay” button atop the left margin of the page. On the reservation screen, enter the group code: GN51813.
Shuttle: Shuttle service will be provided between the hotel and the wedding site beginning at 3:30 p.m. (two hours prior to the beginning of the ceremony). Guests planning to use the shuttle are encouraged to plan to depart the hotel as early in this window as possible, as the shuttle will need to make multiple trips between the locations, a roughly 30-minute roundtrip. Because the shuttle capacity will be planned based on the number of guests staying in the official hotel room block, the shuttle service is available only for guests staying at the Greektown Casino Hotel.
Further information on the shuttle service will be posted on this page as it becomes available.
Detroit by Air
The greater Detroit area is serviced primarily by Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport, a major hub of Delta Airlines. To transit the roughly 20 miles between the airport and downtown, guests may choose to rent a car from one of many rental providers or hire a taxicab for an approximately $50 one-way fare.
